The Cavs will host the Suns, as they are on a mission that the rest of the NBA may well thank them for by the time it’s finished. The Suns have now won an impressive 13 games in a row and are sitting at 14-3 for the year. This is pretty much verbatim to what we saw from them last year, so the Cavs will not exactly have an easy time getting it done.

It’s important to remember that Cleveland did play them very well last year in their second meeting, even getting a magnificent performance from Isaac Okoro along the way. The loss of Collin Sexton for the duration of the year is still fresh and a crushing blow, but there is solid depth at other positions that can help them to offset his absence.

As for the Suns themselves, they have been perfect. The additions of Landry Shamet and JaVale McGee have given them a real lift, with the big man even serving as a spot starter for a long stretch and playing very well. They have stayed focused from day one, playing their best basketball possible. They are still upset about dropping the NBA Finals to the Bucks in six games.

This is sure to be a fun battle, with the teams going home to their families afterward to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Suns Seeking Fourteenth in a Row

Finishing with a 51-21 record in the regular season last year, Phoenix let the league know what they were all about. And then they fell behind 2-1 to the #7 Lakers in round one. They turned it up, winning the next three games, before sweeping Denver and handling the Clippers in six. But the Bucks were too much.

Bringing back the same starting unit, the team knows what they can do against non-dominant teams. They can bring the fight to them and make it tough for them to execute. That is why they have gone from 1-3 to 14-3, just like that.

Look for Devin Booker to have a big night.

Cleveland Looking to Snap Skid

Since Evan Mobley got hurt in the fourth quarter of the Celtics contest last week, the team has gone 0-4. They lost that very game, and the three they have played without him for the entirety as well. His versatility on both ends of the floor has already proven to be irreplaceable.

The better news, though, is that Jarrett Allen and Lauri Markkanen returned during their last game. Both guys brought a lot of value, though it wasn’t enough to knock off Brooklyn. At 9-9, the team is pretty much where they stood at this time last year, though under very different circumstances.

They’d love to spoil Phoenix’s streak and get their mojo back.
