Cleveland Cavaliers vs San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently 24-18, as they’ve won two straight games.

The San Antonio Spurs, on the other hand, are 15-26, as they’ve lost four straight games.

Betting Odds & Lines

The betting spread for Sunday night is set at CLE -3.5. The over/under is sitting at 220.5 points.

Lamar Stevens on Fire

Lamar Stevens is averaging 16.3 points per game over his last three games, as he’s shooting it at a 71 percent clip.

He put up 23 points in the Cavs’ win over the Utah Jazz.

Stevens has also been an asset for the Cavs on the boards and on defense. In a season where players have been in and out due to health and safety protocols, it’s always important to get production from players 1-15.

Evan Mobley Flirts With Triple-Double

Evan Mobley flirted with a triple-double in the Cavs’ win over the Jazz, as he put up 15 points, ten rebounds, and seven assists.

Over his last two games, Mobley has averaged 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game while shooting over 65 percent from the field.

Mobley is the real deal for the Cavs, as he will be an important building block for them for the future, especially now that he’s proven he can play next to Jarrett Allen, as both are 7-feet tall.

Darius Garland Setting Others Up

Daris Garland has put up 25 combined assists over his last two games, as he has taken the initiative as the Cavs’ primary playmaker all season long.

Garland has been distributing the wealth pretty evenly among the Cavs’ primary scorers, as he has set up Lauri Markkanen for some excellent looks behind the arc, Jarrett Allen inside the paint, Evan Mobley in the paint and mid-range, and Kevin Love in his usual spots.

Garland has been one of the better point guards in the league this season and should be rewarded with an All-Star Game appearance.

Dejounte Murray on a Roll

Dejounte Murray has been an absolute stud for the Spurs all season long, as he’s averaging 24.8 points, 9.8 assists, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game over his last five games.

Murray is a bright spot in a down year for the Spurs, but with the Spurs’ track record and them knowing how to build a winning team, they should be able to create a winning team around Murray in the next few seasons if they commit to him as their franchise point guard.

Cavs Win

The Spurs are just don't possess the same threat they've had in recent years. With that being said, the Cavs have a clear advantage going into this one with the weapons they possess.

Mobley should be able to continue his stellar all-around play, Garland should continue to get good looks offensively and with passing the ball, and Allen should continue being a force inside.

Expect the Cavs to win and cover the spread!
